CMI Student Enrollment
Thank you for your interest in California Military Institute - home of the Rough Riders! Are you ready to get more out of your education experience and challenge yourself? Here are some of the things that make CMI different:
- CMI is a college preparatory school
- Not a boarding school
- Not a behavior correction school
- No tuition because CMI is a public charter school
- Students have to qualify based these criteria:
- GPA must be 2.0 or above
- Cannot be failing any classes
- High school students must be on track to graduate
- Must have good behavior
- Students who have been suspended within the last year will not be accepted per our Charter policies
- Students who have ever been expelled will not be accepted per our Charter policies
- All students are required to participate in the military leadership program which is grounded on the principles of the CA Cadet Corps
- CMI offers many athletic programs for middle school and high school students
- There is free transportation from Moreno Valley. Please contact the transportation department for more details (951) 943-6640
- We are open to students in grades 5-12 who live in the following counties: Riverside, San Bernardino, Imperial, San Diego, and Orange
- Free after school program offered to students in grades 5-8: Think Together
