CMI Student Enrollment

Thank you for your interest in California Military Institute - home of the Rough Riders!  Are you ready to get more out of your education experience and challenge yourself?  Here are some of the things that make CMI different:

  • CMI is a college prep school; not a boarding school, nor a behavior correction program
  • Students must qualify based on their GPA (2.0+) and behavior (must submit a current behavior report)
  • Student who have ever been expelled, or suspended within the last year, will not be accepted per our Charter policies
  • All CMI students participate in the JROTC program through the CA Cadet Corps, focusing on student leadership
  • CMI offers many athletic programs for middle school and high school students
  • Free transportation from Moreno Valley. Contact the transportation department for details (951) 943-6640
  • Open to students in 5th-12th grade who live in the following Counties: Riverside, San Bernardino, Imperial, San Diego, Orange 
  • Free after school program for students in 5th-8th grade: Think Together
  • There is no tuition to attend CMI as we are a public charter school

New Student Enrollment Applications for the 2024-25 School Year Lottery
Submit an Online Application (one per family) and all required documentation;

In order for your student to be included in the Lottery, 
make sure you don't miss the application deadline of March 31st at 11:59 PM

If you would like help with your re-enrollment or new application, or to submit documents,
you may join us in the Library for assistance on the dates specified below.

(You can submit all documents via email to beatriz.bermudez@puhsd.org if you don't want to come in person)
